I have now had my first cataract operation — one more to go — I have also discovered that along with my cataracts, I also have glaucoma and macular degeneration — but the glaucoma is controlled for the time being and the macular degeneration is just beginning. — I am now in the healing stage from the first of two cataract operations and this will take about 6 weeks total ….but I have the patience.
My vision is still blurred and there are the normal lights and flashes and weird-looking anomalies that accompany recovery from cataract surgery but things are steadily and slowly improving — I am watching for any weird symptoms that might develop — I still have some swelling in the eye that was operated on — but am taking two kinds of eye drops to combat it all …
I have to limit my time on the computer for the time being so my posts will be infrequent and short — and filled with gratitude to all of you who have sent me your prayers and good wishes … You are so appreciated … my affection for my blogger friends is very great — Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Great to hear that the surgery was a success. I have had Glaucoma for many years, and it is controlled well by eye drops. We will still be here when you are back blogging again, John.
