WHAT DOES HE EXPECT TO BE ARRESTED FOR:
In a furious social media post Saturday, Trump predicted his arrest next week in a case in which he has been accused of paying $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 campaign. He also called on his supporters to protest.
The post, which echoes a message he made just before the Jan. 6 riot that inspired the mob to storm the Capitol, comes as law enforcement agencies across New York have been making security preparations ahead of his possible indictment.
WHERE DOES HE EXPECT TO BE ARRESTED:
In Manhattan, prosecutors have been investigating whether Mr Trump paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels to silence her claims of sexual encounters with him during the campaign. The money was allegedly delivered by his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who has denied the payment ever happened.
WHO WOULD ARREST HIM IF IT HAPPENS:
The former president is expected to be arrested by New York police on Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The former president will be surrendering peacefully to authorities if he is charged, the person said, adding that the arrest could cause some controversy.
WHAT EFFECT WOULD SUCH AN ARREST HAVE ON THE NATION:
A possible indictment of Mr Trump would have enormous implications for his political career. It would be the first time a president has been accused of a crime while in office, and it could seriously damage his bid to become the Republican nominee for the presidency in 2024.
AND —IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, it could cause his devoted gallery of zombies to go utterly ballistic.

Hmm, I just did some digging and as far as I can tell the ONLY person who is saying Trump is going to be arrested is Trump, not the DA or anyone in her office. The DA’s office has made no statements at all about his possible indictment and possible arrest. So I don’t know where all of this is coming from. According to Trump’s own attorney, he is getting his information from “medial reports” not any official statements from the DA’s office. He’s now claiming there are “illegal leaks” from the DA’s office, only there haven’t been any such leaks anywhere that I’ve been able to track down. In fact the DA’s office has refused to issue any statements at all about the situation. Unless I’ve missed something this whole arrest story seems to exist only in Trump’s head at the moment.

Charged with what, though? All we’ve been hearing is rumor and wild guesses, and no one has yet stated any specific charges that might be leveled against him. The payment to Daniels? I doubt very much if that’s technically illegal. Powerful people paying off persons they’ve had sex with in exchange for their silence is something that’s been done for thousands of years and is not, in and of itself, illegal. I suppose that since the money was allegedly funneled through his campaign that might be an issue, but that would be a federal offense, not a state offense and the NY DA wouldn’t have the authority to cover that, would she?
Right now the only person claiming Trump is going to be arrested is Trump himself. I think John’s right and nothing substantial will ever come out of this.

He may indeed emerge clean, smug and more powerful than ever. But he should not be inciting and working up his ppl. He should be urging calm, peace and saying trust the system, it’s the best in the world, etc. But then that’s not his brand is it?

Already stirring up trouble in anticipation of arrest. That makes me think he would like to see violent protests worse than the January protest in Washington DC. He should be further charged with ‘Inciting riots’.
