Pardon me while I chime in here with an opinion, or at least a question of my own — If right-wing broadcasters want Democrat Leadership to be lined up against a concrete wall and executed, why would it not be appropriate for some Democrat or Liberal to go public and demand the same treatment for right wing propagandists?

I ask you, “Is this not the very kind of crap that Conservative Radicals want to happen and is this not the very kind of horror that we will see if the right wing wins their eventual desire to obtain permanent political power in the United States?
And yet, otherwise rational people will actually vote for this kind of stuff!
Most people consider themselves fairly knowledgeable about their country’s history. They can probably tell you that Abe Lincoln was the 16th president or that Teddy Roosevelt was a proud “Trust Buster.”
I said “most People” in the preceding sentence but these days I am not so sure anymore if most people are anywhere knowledgeable about our history because if you ask the average citizen out on the streets a history question you are more likely than not to receive a blank stare in return…. especially of you ask a Conservative because all they know is the fake history being taught to them by their overlords.
But there’s a lot more to know about American history than just the big names and key dates.
One of the least known facts of American History is that Columbus was not the first European to land in America. In fact, it was a group of Frenchmen who had come to the New World and settled in Florida in 1565.
That means that the United States had been around long before Columbus, and that it was a French colony before its name became the United States of America in 1789. And if you think about it, that’s a pretty bizarre – and completely unexpected – thing to find out.
Another of the most fascinating tidbits in American History is that women were actually elected to Congress before they could vote. Jeanette Rankin, the first female senator, took her oath of office in 1916.
It’s a bit of a mystery why this happened, and it was a real problem for women in those times. But it’s also a fascinating story that makes you think twice about how you look at history.
If you want to learn more about history, don’t just memorize facts – use it to make connections and understand why things happen the way they do. That’s the best kind of history learning but, unfortunately, it is not the kind of history learning you are going to get in these times when everybody with a political agenda is trying to rewrite history to reflect their own narratives … especially the fascistic right-wing crazies who want to write everything in their own image.
Tell me why any thinking person would be the slightest bit interested in studying History when it is all dead, gone and buried in the sands of time and can never come back again? Yet there are people on this earth who insist that “History” be taught in every school. What the hell good is it? Beyond the school experience, nobody who is exposed to the study of History will ever make use of it again unless they become teachers or research scientists.
Idiots with the label, “Experts” say one of the most compelling reasons schools teach history is to help students develop a sense of their own identity. The study of historical data about families, groups, institutions and countries is an essential foundation for such purposes; it confirms or establishes family links, provides facts about ethnicity, and shows how social units have evolved while retaining common traits.
In all the years that I was growing up I cannot remember a single time when I even gave thought to such notions as learning about my own identity. I knew who the hell I was and I knew where I came from and I didn’t give a shit about all the dead people that I never met but who were said to be part of our family before we were even born. Many American families today are so damned dysfunctional that any idea about their links and ethnicity is totally useless to them unless they are activists in such causes as “Ethnic Rights” — a cause that has been a battleground in America for centuries and a battle that has never been won and never will be won because love of fellow man cannot be legislated and racism is in the dna of every living soul.
They say that the study of History is also an essential prerequisite for good citizenship; without it, the individual has no knowledge about his or her roots and no awareness of the social fabric of their country. The study of History also enables a citizen to distinguish objective and self-serving information in political speeches, public records, or other types of evidence.
Most of the people I have ever encountered in this life…. in school….in business …in the military — everywhere — always considered themselves to be good citizens and knew that bad citizens were either in jail or had been deported. Nobody ever contested this self awareness and no one needed to contest it because everybody involved knew all they needed to know about such things and it did not dominate their every thought and it sure as hell didn’t do anything to make them extra money to live on.
In the classroom, the study of History is often an obsession; students become so focused on the subject that they forget to engage with their peers or even themselves. This is a serious problem because people who are obsessed with something are likely to be very difficult to teach. And if such students happen to come from a right wing background, the idea of “teaching” them anything is already null and void because most of them are generally genetically challenged to the point that they cannot learn anything except what their puppet masters drum into their heads.
Liberal students are focused on what it takes to make it in the world and could usually care less about the whine and rhyme of useless-assed subjects like “History.” When I, for example, finally escaped the confinement of years of forced education in the lower grades, I soon discovered that every minute I had ever spent learning “History” was a waste of time and that nothing worthwhile in life that I ever did ever depended on whether or not I knew the rote facts about my ridiculously embellished History lessons.
I once asked a ninth-grade history teacher how his students were learning about the events of Columbus and the Trial. He told me that they were discussing how much a person’s actions reflected their own personal choices or what society compelled them to do. Even now when I look at the couple of sentences I just wrote they don’t mean shit to me …I do not even understand what I was just talking about much less what the ninth-grade history was talking about…. anyway, the ninth-grade history who had a boner for the third-grade elementary teacher is long since dead, gone and buried and nothing that he ever learned or said or wrote is of any value to anybody anymore … and there is a lesson in what I just said … all that is left of the poor fool is a rag, a bone and a hank of hair and a fading tombstone in Rose Hill cemetery — just across the road from the Whitaker family’s mausoleum.
I know the study of History is as complex and demanding a discipline as it is a complete waste of time that could be better spent on more productive things. But it can be rewarding and interesting as well to eggheads and swells whose arrogance demands something to justify themselves. It never helps us see the big picture or to understand how and why events have happened in the world.
The reason for that is the big picture is always changing along with the norms and people’s perceptions about things and even now nobody can understand how and why current events are happening in the world People are constantly being forced to relearn everything they thought they knew because nothing is the same today as it was yesterday and nothing that is happening today will be the same as it will be tomorrow— if a tomorrow actually comes.
I know the history addicts will disagree but that is alright because they are as insignificant to the world order as I am or as anyone else is and it doesn’t matter anyway. If you cannot believe this then show me just one example of where someone who disagrees with what I am postulating here has ever made a noteworthy contribution to anything significant that affects our daily existence and where their contribution has been memorialized in anything remotely resembling accessible “History.” (Personal journals do not count.).
Most people with half a functioning brain will agree that right-wing extremists are not normal — it is not too hard to tell instantly when you hear one talk about something you can immediately sense that something is seriously wrong with them — when they talk, they sound delusional, unbalanced, unsettled, and terribly angry about almost everything having to do with The United States. (But all that does not keep them from being first in any line where the government is handing out goodies.) They claim to hate the government but they are always right there in line when there is something good that the government is giving to its citizens.
For one example, the right-wingers are always advocating for cutting Social Security benefits –but when they do this, they do not seem to understand that if the Social Security benefits get cut or if the Social Security System gets done away with completely, they will be hurt just as much by such a radical action as anyone will be. They either do not understand it or they don’t give a shit about it. Because they are inherently mindless, I would be first to accept the first proposition (They don’t understand) and I would accept the second proposition (They don’t give a shit) because they are inherently callous and uncaring about anybody but themselves and their own kind. (Tribalist if you will.) (Neanderthal if you insist.)
The bunch of misfits that I am talking about here are very paranoid that their government is always coming after them for one thing or another … that their government is in the business of stripping away all of their constitutional rights …very paranoid … very fearful … very afraid of a “Big Brother” kind of government that exists only in the recesses of what once might have counted for a brain in their vacuous head cavities … so they hide behind their over-done, constant rages about everything American.
If you observe them at work in Congress — and many of them have managed to infect the Congress —managed to infect it and divide it — you might soon come to the conclusion that a lot of them are actually clinically unhinged … but, alas, there are no constitutional requirements that could protect the sane among us from their tirades because there is no call in the constitution for any kind of mental tests to confirm that candidates for office are well-balanced individuals …so there is a wide-open door for the nut cases to walk right into government offices and take them over after convincing their voting constituents to give them a chance to “Do things a little differently in Washington, D.C.”
This group has made a fine record for themselves as agitators, inciters, dividers, confusers during recent times and their agitations grow in intensity with each hour that passes. One of the starkest examples of what can happen under such influences is the January 6th insurrection at the United States Capitol — you remember that “Peaceful demonstration by a lot of peaceful “Patriots” don’t you? This was the work of the very people I am talking about even though they are denying their culpability at the present time and blaming it all on what they call “The Woke” factions in the United States — “Woke,” by the way is a term that the American radical right (and I hate having to call them “American” but unfortunately that is what they are technically if not really) invented but cannot adequately define.
They are confrontational — they fight and bitch and argue and complain but I do not believe there is one iota of ability for any of them to engage in legitimate debate or negotiation in order to bring about any useful law or regulation or policy to benefit anybody in the United States but their own cronies and the rich people that they are always courting at the expense of everybody else. They are, in a word, amoral, defensive and angry — something like little children fighting over a candy bar — but not an adult in the room when the rubber meets the road.
Even for all their outward bravado, I think that this bunch is frustrated and miserable and they are never happy unless they are making other people frustrated and miserable as well.
And this is the kind of mess that far too many otherwise responsible Americans are allowing to pollute our way of life with their votes at every election.
And I believe, at this time in History, they are also multiplying like rats.

In the United States Congress, there is a right-wing “conservative” and to a lot of people’s understanding, a crazy faction who act a lot like Putinists who are sometimes called “The freedom caucus”. This group has been growing in numbers since it formed and who, in the opinion of many observers, has been doing its best to undermine everything America has traditionally stood for.
There are several very demeaning and insulting things that can possibly be said about the freedom caucus, their putin party characteristics, and their right-wing extremism in congress. The most appropriate way of handling appropriate insults about them is to tell it like it is …refuse to whitewash anything and plain out just tell the world who these people are and what they are up to as they do their best to undermine our democratic way of life and replace it with their own impressionistic, oppressive far-right version of a utopian government — which, in many ways, I think looks a lot like old-fashioned fascism.
There is a big difference between “Definitions” and “Name Calling.” The best way to define them is to name them– and in my opinion, that is a most appropriate way of exposing them.
Name Them:
The most appropriate thing to say about this malignant group is that it is a bunch of far right extremists who are threatening the United States with an economic collapse. Moreover, it is the group that is pushing to allow people to carry concealed handguns without a permit, thus making our streets less safe rather than making them safer. They seem to love their guns more than life itself … and given the number of mass school shootings that have happened over the last few years, I would go so far as to say they must love their guns even more than they love their children and other members of their families.
Name Them:
The right wing extremists in congress are the ones who are trying to destroy the environment and hamstring the United States’ efforts to address climate change. They have tried to block disaster relief funding, they have attempted to deny that climate change is a real problem, and they have also tried to block any government effort to reduce carbon emissions or to adapt to the changing climate. But still they like to bill themselves as “The People’s party” and pretend that they actually care about the wellbeing of the people who elect them … which, as I believe, evidence has shown consistently and solidly that the only things they care about are their own individual asses, their cushy government jobs and how they can find things that they can use to enrich themselves at the expense of the taxpayers.
Name Them:
The right-wing extremists in congress are the ones that are trying to kill Obamacare, restructure Medicaid and Social Security and Medicare, and enact a national abortion ban. See how much they love the ordinary, everyday, working-class — and the poorer classes … and in their attempts to take away or to limit or inhibit voting rights, you can see how much they are in love with ethnic minorities and the idea of a diverse population.
Name Them:
The right wing extremists in congress have also allegedly been promoting Russia’s rogue activities in Ukraine and trying to get the US to invade Russia’s western border with Georgia. They have even been urging Americans to support the invasion, and have been spreading Russian propaganda videos on video sharing platforms like Rumble.
People know all this stuff and still they support the people who advocate for these kinds of policies.
The troops are beginning to rally now and all the Trump zombies are all over the Internet inviting their own to go out and rally (Peacefully Protest) the possibility that their God might be arrested this coming Tuesday.
One of the zombified apes has agreed to “Make The Signs” for the event. I thought that was a touching gesture.

One of the worms asked if anyone had an extra (FJB) flag they could put on their truck for the occasion. “FJB” stands for “F**k Joe Biden of course and I am guessing that the truck in mention is going to be a red pickup with a gun rack in the cab. That is what some uneducated hicks ejaculate over —
“Tammy” is aghast at the idea that there are still people in America who would agree to go into the streets and protest the arrest of a criminal.” I guess Tammy has not been keeping up with the news or something. Of course, nobody in America is a criminal unless adjudicated and Trump has never been found guilty of anything yet, so maybe Tammy is a little premature.

I ask, “Are we working our way up to another January 6th-style event? Is Trump actually subtly trying to incite something here or is everybody just jumping the gun and making assumptions?
A Florida textbook publisher removed all references to Rosa Parks’ race in a lesson about the Montgomery Bus Boycott, in order to comply with new state laws that ban critical race theory.
Remember that we are talking “The Free State Of Florida” here …. a state now governed by Ron Disantis whom some are affectionately nick-naming, “Disatanist” because of what they view as his pushy dictatorial attitudes about governing.
Remember also that this same Disantis may also run for president of The United States in 2024 and he may already have enough support in the Trump camp to actually win the Oval Office. The Media is saying that Disantis is a real up-and-comer in the Republican Party and that many former Trump acolytes are switching brands and going with Disantis this time around.
And it seems to me like he wants to change the History that children will be taught in Florida schools — History that will make no mention of ethnicity, skin color or racism — History that will completely eliminate any mention of slavery at all — a little bit of mind control if you want my personal opinion. I call this approach “Reverse Propaganda.”
The New York Times reports that Studies Weekly changed the language on Rosa Parks in a science and social studies-focused textbook used in 45,000 Florida schools. In a second version, the text no longer mentions her race or the bus boycott — and I do not know because I have not read the book, but I am surmising that it will not mention the reasons for the bus boycott either. I think Disantis is trying to sanitize History with this effort. I cannot help but wonder why.
As you might have already guessed, Ron DeSantis is the president of Studies Weekly and it is reported that he has said that he did not want the lesson to mention color or racism.
I am trying to wrap my head around what a history lesson about Rosa parks without mention of color or racism would look like or sound like.
DeSantis has allegedly told somebody that he does not want the story to make students feel guilty or resentful for the racial treatment of Rosa Parks or other people of color in the past.
Often, students are taught the story of Rosa Parks as an old and tired woman who was sick and tired of being treated in a racist way. But that is not true!
The Rosa Parks story is much more complex.
One of the things that many teachers try to teach students is that she was very active in her community before the bus boycott began. She was a churchgoer, she was well-educated and she was widely liked. She was very respected, and that’s really what made her the perfect person for this protest because she was not just a passive, unthinking person.

In Manhattan, prosecutors have been investigating whether Mr Trump paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels to silence her claims of sexual encounters with him during the campaign. The money was allegedly delivered by his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who has denied the payment ever happened.
WHO WOULD ARREST HIM IF IT HAPPENS:
The former president is expected to be arrested by New York police on Tuesday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The former president will be surrendering peacefully to authorities if he is charged, the person said, adding that the arrest could cause some controversy.
WHAT EFFECT WOULD SUCH AN ARREST HAVE ON THE NATION:
A possible indictment of Mr Trump would have enormous implications for his political career. It would be the first time a president has been accused of a crime while in office, and it could seriously damage his bid to become the Republican nominee for the presidency in 2024.
AND —IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, it could cause his devoted gallery of zombies to go utterly ballistic.

Some food inspectors have discovered a lot of filthy conditions in restaurants recently, and the findings are raising questions about whether eating out is really as safe as it seems.
In the image above, I would not eat the dish being prepared by that chef if I knew that he was handling the food without wearing protective gloves …
I can tell you that the idea of getting food poisoning is not very appealing to me and I have had a couple of friends hospitalized from it lately — all because they ate something at a fast food restaurant that was unsafely stored or badly prepared.
I still do not trust restaurant cooks and servers and waiters and waitresses to properly wash their hands after using the bathrooms and there is no way for customers to watch them and make sure they do. I understand that it is illegal to install security cameras in bathrooms so who is to know when some lazy-assed jerk forgets or simply refuses to follow the safety rules when working with food that other people will consume?
While restaurants are required to post inspection stickers near their front door, it doesn’t mean all of them are clean, according to Lori Freeman, chief executive officer for the National Association of County and City Health Officials.
Some of the dirty conditions that have been uncovered in recent years include rodent feces, sewage backing up on a kitchen floor, and expired food. These violations have caused many people to lose their faith in restaurants and have led to a number of restaurant closures across the country.
Where I live, one hugely-popular family-style buffet restaurant was actually forced to shut down forever after food inspectors discovered (More than once) that they had a habit of storing their uncooked hamburger patties outside the restaurant, on racks sitting very close to the restaurant waste disposal dumpster. This made the local news.
Roaches and unsanitary food-contact surfaces have been a common concern for a number of South Florida restaurants, but a number of other issues are also being found at restaurants throughout the state. In fact, last week, a Papa John’s restaurant in Miami-Dade County was shut down because of roaches and clean utensils or equipment being stored in a dirty container.
When I was a younger man, I worked in a fast food hamburger joint where rats would scamper across the kitchen floor at the busiest time of the day and where the long-haired “Old Timer” grill cook never seemed to wash her hands or to wear a hair net and actually smoked cigarettes while flipping the burgers.
Dirty mugs and glasses have also been a problem in some restaurants, with some inspectors saying that people should be mindful of where they put their mugs and glasses when they set them down on a table or plate. The reason for this is that if your hands are dirty and you put your mug down on a dish or on a counter, then you’re likely to transfer bacteria from your hands onto the glass.
Another thing about seating arrangements at restaurants: I personally always wipe off my table when eating in a restaurant. I carry sanitary wipes especially for the purpose. I also wipe off the utensils because it is hard to imagine what kind of crud they might have been washed in before arriving at your table or how long it was before they got wiped dry, or if they just sat out and dried on their own — or how dirty the rag they got wiped with was — I worked in one of these places once and I am here to tell you that many of them will cut corners wherever they can get away with it.
Dirty plates, utensils, mugs, glasses and all that kind of stuff can contaminate the food that you’re eating, making it more likely to make you sick. There are a number of ways to avoid this, but one is to make sure your mugs and glasses are cleaned before you use them. Like I said, I carry my own methods of doing this whenever I go out. I get a lot of stares from other patrons but it is my health I am protecting and I don’t give a shit what onlookers might think.
In addition, be aware that some of the most dangerous violations can come from the way food is held and kept cold. For example, if the temperature of chicken salad is below 60 degrees, this could cause it to grow bacteria and make you sick.
My friend, Jim and I, got a bad case of some kind of food poisoning after eating a chicken casserole at a church banquet. This tantalizing-looking casserole had been sitting in a heated room, on a long table, for God only knows how long before we ate some of it … I should have known when I noticed that the food was not barely like warm that it had been there some hours before we dug into it.
If your meal isn’t cooked properly, it can also lead to problems. This is why some restaurants have been shut down for this, and it’s important to make sure your food is cooked in a clean environment, says Kristin Clay, director of the Virginia Department of Health. Of course, you can never tell the cleanliness of a kitchen restaurant because you are generally not allowed to enter them — and even if the dining area of the establishment looks sterile as a hospital operating room, you have no idea of what that kitchen looks like.
Other common problems with restaurants include improperly cleaned dishes, ice machines and fridges. These can all be a sign of a problem in the restaurant and should be taken care of immediately, but again, the patrons are going to be clueless as to the sanitization of these things.
It pays, in my opinion, to do some research before going out to eat these days. I always look up eating places on a site where customer reviews of the establishments can be found and I have found most of these reviews to be fairly accurate.
Some of these problems can be solved by simply making sure all staff have proper training, But others may require more drastic measures, like having a worker fired or the business closed.
It is also vital to ensure that the restaurant is a licensed establishment. This means that the business is inspected regularly by a qualified professional and has been checked for safety and cleanliness. This brings me to another item for a short discussion — food trucks and food concession stands at fairs, carnivals and other such places. I have gotten sick a number of times after eating a sandwich from a food truck. I have to be awfully damned hungry before I take the chance with them these days.
While some of the most serious violations can seem scary, the good news is that a number of these restaurants have been removed from the list after receiving a failing rating during an inspection. In the end, most of them will have their inspections corrected and can return to serving customers once the problems are fixed.
But in the end, it is the customer’s responsibility to check things out, to ask others who have eaten in such places, and to do a little snooping wherever possible .. especially in the bathrooms. I have found, in my own experience, that the condition of the restaurant bathroom is a good indication about the cleanliness of the rest of the place.
